The Garda lake and its territory constitute an ideal place to practice outdoor sports. This area is also recognized as a very important area in terms of environment, landscape and historic tradition.
Also ancient Romans used to appreciate the mild clime and the landscape of the lake along which they built marvelous residences. The enchanting Lake Garda also fascinated Goethe who, in 1787, wrote about the desire to share such a beauty view with his friends.
Also thanks to Goethe, in the second half of the nineteenth century tourism started to develop and it was consolidated after the Second World War. Territory, landscapes, natures and history, combined to a long hospitality tradition, have made the Garda Lake an extraordinary and complete tourist destination.
