Main town of the territory of the Garda Trentino, Riva del Garda is an important tourist and meeting destination in the province of Trento.
With its two docks, Riva is an important centre for sailing and windsurf: the morning wind, the Peler, and the noon wind, the Ora, guarantee suitable weather conditions every day.
The heritage of the Scaligeri Family and, eventually, of the old Venetian style, is clearly recognizable on the architecture of the buildings of the historic centre. The Rocca currently houses the Museo Civico and the Pinacoteca.
On the West side of the town the Rocchetta Mountain raises while on the East side there is the Baldo Mountain.
This particular collocation makes Riva one of the most spectacular boroughs of the Garda Lake.
The mild clime nurtures the typical Mediterranean vegetation: lemon trees, olive trees, laurel oak and palms: an authentic Mediterranean oasis at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites.
